A top-10 showdown between Ohio State and Penn State was confirmed on Tuesday’s College Football Playoff Rankings.

Though it was always to be expected, Penn State remained in the top 10 and actually moved up one spot to No. 8 on the latest CFP Rankings. With the Buckeyes staying locked in at No. 2, Saturday’s game is guaranteed to be an elite matchup in the B1G East.

During the unveiling show for the CFP, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit took time to highlight that game. The winner will have the inside track to Indianapolis for the B1G Championship and will remain in a strong position to make the Playoff.

According to Herbstreit, he does believe the Nittany Lions have a chance to pull off the upset. However, it will take a healthy KJ Hamler and the ability to slow down Ohio State’s big-play ability.

“I think if Penn State has a chance here, they gotta go tempo because you’ve gotta get Ohio State’s defensive line fatigued,” said Herbstreit. “The only way they can do that is be aggressive. You’re on the road in Columbus, take some chances, Hamler’s gotta be out there. I think the biggest concern is defending Ohio State’s big play through the air, that could be a problem for Penn State in Columbus.”

Who do you have coming out on top Saturday? Kickoff is set for 12 pm EST on FOX.
