Maryland OL starter likely out for rest of the season

What started as a promising season for the Terrapins has turned into a disappointing skid.

After a 2-0 start to the season, expectations began to rise for Maryland under Mike Locksley. Unfortunately, the Terrapins have gone just 1-7 since then and are mired in a five-game losing streak.

With just two games left in the season, Maryland will once again be staying home during bowl season. While that is disappointing, the Terrapins will also be without one of their offensive linemen for the rest of the year.

Locksley shared the announcement on Tuesday that starting center Johnny Jordan will likely miss the remainder of the season. According to Locksley’s announcement, Jordan is dealing with some personal issues. While he did not elaborate, Locksley indicated it was not due to disciplinary reasons.

Maryland takes on Nebraska this weekend before finishing the year on the road against Michigan State.
