Nebraska and Iowa are gearing up for a Black Friday showdown to wrap up the regular season.

For both teams, this season has featured various levels of disappointment along the way. For Iowa, the Hawkeyes once again have a solid team and a strong record at 8-3. However, if the team had performed marginally better in a couple of those losses, Iowa would have the potential opportunity to play for a B1G Championship.

For Nebraska, hopes of a drastic improvement in Scott Frost’s second season never developed. The Cornhuskers do have a shot to reach a bowl game if they can upset the Hawkeyes, but sitting with a 5-6 record heading into the season finale was not the goal.

The spread for Friday’s Heroes Game is currently Iowa as a 5.5-point favorite on the road. Odds Shark also released a computer prediction for the contest, and it sees the Hawkeyes covering in a fairly close game.

That prediction has Iowa winning by a score of 31.8-23.8:

The Hawkeyes have won four straight in the series. Can they make it five on Friday?
