Showcasing the speed of freshman wideout Giles Jackson, the No. 13 Michigan Wolverines raced out to a 6-0 lead over the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.
Following a five-yard touchdown run by junior J.K. Dobbins and a 57-yard pass to sophomore Chris Olave, the Wolverines found themselves down, 14-6, late in the first quarter.
In what looks to be a high-scoring game, Michigan’s offense needed a score to keep pace with the nation’s No. 1 scoring unit. Fortunately, thanks to a 25-yard touchdown pass from senior Shea Patterson to junior Donovan Peoples-Jones, the Wolverines got exactly that.

Also handling punt return duties, Peoples-Jones was a five-star prospect, the No. 1 player in the state of Michigan and the top wideout nationally in the 2017 class, per the 247Sports Composite.
His sixth touchdown reception of the season, Peoples-Jones now has 14 in his career – three shy of Jeremy Gallon and Marquise Walker for a share of ninth on the school’s all-time list.
From Michigan Stadium, Ohio State at Michigan is currently airing on FOX with Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and “The All-American Girl” Jenny Taft on the call.
