Minnesota draws first blood for the Axe with beautiful connection from Tanner Morgan to Rashod Bateman

Minnesota has hit the ground running in the Battle for the Axe!
In the biggest game of the season, the Golden Gophers opened the scoring early against the Badgers. The touchdown came on a beautiful play between Tanner Morgan and Rashod Bateman.
The call was a play-action pass with Bateman running a stop-and-go route on the outside. He sold his route perfectly before cutting downfield and getting behind the defense. Morgan hit him with a perfect throw that went 51 yards for the score.
