Damon Arnette wasn’t about to put up with one critical comment aimed at himself and his teammates.

On Saturday, the senior cornerback and the Buckeyes secured a win over Michigan in blowout fashion. That game ended with a lopsided 56-27 score in favor of Ohio State.

There really was not much to dislike about the game. It is true that Michigan QB Shea Patterson threw for 305  yards, but he was only able to complete 18-of-43 passes in the game and also threw an interception. In fact, Ohio State’s defense on the year was allowing just 126.2 yards a game through the air entering the season finale.

Those numbers add up to a strong defense and, one would think, a strong secondary. Not to Clay Travis. He called out Ohio State’s secondary, claiming it “isn’t good” and that it has been covered up by an elite pass rush.

Arnette couldn’t keep silent, firing back on Twitter:

To be fair, Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence are elite quarterbacks and could give many teams fits. However, claiming Ohio State’s secondary “isn’t good” doesn’t appear to compute with statistics or the game film.

Arnette has definitely been busy on social media Saturday. He took the time to send a special message to “TTUN” following Ohio State’s big win.
