One of the more interesting and shocking stories from Saturday came early in the morning. Terrelle Pryor, a former Ohio State quarterback, was stabbed at his apartment complex Friday night.

Pryor was in critical condition, but reports have since surfaced stating that he is expected to recover from the stabbing. More details are surfacing as time is going on, however.

As of Saturday night, Pryor was charged with simple assault in regard to the incident:

According to Megan Guza of Triblive.com, Pryor’s girlfriend, Shalaya Briston, is the one who stabbed him. Apparently, the two went out with friends Friday night and were arguing.

“Pryor went home, and the three women continued on to the club,” Guza wrote. “When the three returned to the apartment, Pryor allegedly met them in the hallway, grabbed Briston and began arguing again, according to the complaint. Inside the apartment, Pryor allegedly knocked one witness to the ground and began to ‘tussle’ with Briston.

“The fight continued into the kitchen, according to the complaint. The same witness told police that Pryor broke loose and grabbed his chest; the witness could see he was bleeding.”

Police then came to the scene after neighbors called and reported hearing a domestic abuse.

“At the hospital, police overheard one witness speaking into her smart watch and saying, “She was just defending herself and had to do it,” according to the complaint. The same woman went on to say, “The only reason I’m here is to make sure that he didn’t die” and “We should have just let him die.”

Harsh words there, but, if your friend is being attacked by her boyfriend, you may have an ill-will toward that person. We weren’t at the scene. We don’t know what exactly happened.

But according to the complaint, it sounds like self-defense. Then again, what else would her friend say? That she was in the wrong?

We obviously don’t know.

As time goes on, more details will likely surface.
