Ohio State capped a 12-0 regular season with another dominant performance over Michigan, and ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit took notice.
On Sunday, the popular analyst and one of the hosts for College GameDay gave a shoutout to Ryan Day and the Buckeyes on Twitter. Herbstreit admitted the wins have been nice, but he particularly appreciates the way Ohio State players “go about their business.”
He highlighted one postgame moment featuring Pete Werner as an example of the “class” shown by Day’s squad throughout the year:
The winning is great but what I really appreciate about this @OhioStateFB team is the WAY they go about their business. Here’s an example post game yesterday. Go to war for 60-show class afterwards. Appreciate @ryandaytime-his staff & players for HOW they’re winning! pic.twitter.com/vKxBEbWxm0

It should be noted that Herbstreit played for the Buckeyes from 1989-92, so he may be looking at this one through rose-colored glasses. Either way, Day and the Buckeyes will indeed be playing for a B1G Championship and trip to the College Football Playoff this week.
