This is some heartbreaking news out of Central Michigan.
According to Tony Paul with the Detroit News, CMU football and basketball broadcaster Don Chiodo passed away on Wednesday. He passed away following a car accident during the afternoon. Chiodo was 54-years-old.
Currently, the CMU football team is gearing up for Saturday’s MAC Championship Game against Miami (OH). The Chippewas are 8-4 in their first season under head coach Jim McElwain.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Chiodo family and the CMU family for their loss.
Extremely sad news at CMU.
Veteran football and basketball broadcaster Don Chiodo has died at the age of 54, following a car accident this afternoon.
The university, as you'd expect, is devasted.
He was the ultimate CMU booster and was pumped for the MAC title game Saturday.
