This might be a mistake that haunts Anthony Lotti for awhile.
During Saturday’s B1G Championship Game, Wisconsin owned a 21-14 lead over Ohio State early in the third quarter. A strong defensive stand from the Buckeyes forced the Badgers into a punting situation, and Wisconsin was prepared to send its defense back onto the field.
But on the punt attempt, Lotti dropped the football, forcing him to just grab the ball and try to pick up a first down. He fell well short, and gave Ohio State the ball with excellent field position at the Wisconsin 16-yard line.

Ohio State wasn’t able to get into the end zone, but it did get a field goal out of the mistake to make the score 21-17.
The defense did bail out the punter a little bit, but that will still be an error that will be hard to shake.
