Ed Orgeron is as Louisiana as they come. Any college football fan can see that he’s the perfect fit at LSU. And in case you haven’t seen enough over the last three years to convince you of that, Joe Burrow may have the ultimate story on Coach O.

After Burrow decided to leave Ohio State, the former four-star quarterback was recruited by a number of different schools. Obviously, Orgeron really wanted the former Buckeye to be the next quarterback in Baton Rouge.

That’s what leads to Burrow’s epic story about Orgeron, which occurred during a recruiting visit at dinner. According to ESPN’s David Hale, the restaurant did not serve crawfish. So, Coach O decided to take matters into his own hands. From Hale:

That would leave quite an impression to anyone. And it makes you wonder if it’s happened on any other recruiting visits that Orgeron has taken.

Hey, when you love crawfish, you have to have it. Fortunately Orgeron got his 15 pounds of crawfish and impressed the quarterback enough to commit to LSU.

That was a big day for Coach O and LSU.
