The 2019 Early Signing Period is here. It runs from Wednesday, Dec. 18 to Friday, Dec. 20. It is a three-day window in which recruits for the Class of 2020 can sign with the school they wish to play for earlier than usual. This was created in 2017.

On the morning of the start of the Early Signing Period, Minnesota flipped a verbal commitment from Boston College:

Minnesota flipped Jah Joyner away from Boston College. Joyner is a 6-foot-4 defensive end from Danbury, Connecticut. He is ranked by 247Sports Composite as a 3-star prospect and the No. 29 weak-side defensive end in his class.
He is the 13th member of Minnesota’s 2020 class to sign his letter of intent. The Golden Gophers’ entire 2020 class can be found here. It ranks No. 32 nationally and No. 8 in the Big Ten.
