Scott Frost continues to tear up the recruiting world in the month of December, and it continued on the first day of the Early Signing Period.

Wednesday, Nebraska landed a commitment from heavily recruited 4-star Florida native Jaiden Francois. The product from South Dade High School is listed as one of the top 50 players from the state of Florida and the No. 28 safety in the 2020 class, per 247Sports.

Francois was considering Nebraska and Miami, and made his announcement Wednesday morning.

A 6-foot, 184-pound defensive back, Francois received plenty of interest on the recruiting trail, holding 17 offers from several major Power Five programs. Francois picked Nebraska over Miami, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Oregon.

Francois is considered to be one of the top 300 players in the 2020 recruiting class, and becomes the eighth four-star recruit to join the Huskers.

Coming into the Early Signing Period, Nebraska ranked fourth in the B1G with its 2020 recruiting class, and 20th nationally. That will continue to fluctuate over the coming days.

But Francois’ commitment is undoubtedly a huge boost for Frost and the Huskers.
