If you love chaos, then the B1G is where you belong!
Conference play in the college basketball season has truly just begun, and already things have been crazy in the B1G. Entering Wednesday’s game between Michigan State at Northwestern, the road team had gone winless in conference games to open the year.
Tom Izzo and the Spartans took care of that, escaping Evanston with a 77-72 win over the Wildcats. That actually puts Michigan State at the top of the conference standings.
Every team in the B1G has now played two conference games on the season. Believe it or not, Michigan State is the only team still undefeated in conference play. With Northwestern at 0-2, it has created a 12-way tie between 1-1 teams for second place.

Granted, this is all very early and should be sorted out over the course of the season. Still, there are a couple of early-season takeaways. First of all, winning on the road in the B1G is no easy task, even for the best teams. Second, the conference has a strong group of good teams, but there is yet to be one elite team establish themselves as the favorite early on.
Who takes home the B1G title this season? This is one conference race you will not want to miss.
