With an important bowl game on the horizon for Penn State, a former star NFL receiver decided to pay the Nittany Lions a visit to provide a little extra motivation this week.

Former Green Bay Packers receiver Donald Driver paid a visit to the Penn State football team recently, to offer some words of wisdom before the Lions take on Memphis in the Cotton Bowl Classic on Dec. 28.

Below, Penn State football shared a video of Driver speaking with the team, highlighting his message. Driver, a Texas native, had a 14-year NFL career with the Packers.

It was a great message from Driver to the team.

Penn State enters the Cotton Bowl with a 10-2 record, with its only losses coming to Minnesota and Ohio State. Memphis is 12-1 on the season and was the highest ranked Group of Five team this year.

The Nittany Lions are searching for their third 11-win season in the last four years.
