This is one of those visits that goes beyond the game on the field.
On Saturday, Penn State will take on Memphis in the Cotton Bowl. It is a third New Year’s Six Bowl for the Nittany Lions in the past four seasons. The team is 1-1 in the previous two games.
The matchup against Memphis is a particularly intriguing one to keep an eye on this postseason. However, head coach James Franklin and the Nittany Lions took part in a special activity Monday.

The group took time to visit the local Children’s Health hospital in Dallas to spread some cheer with the patients, families, and staff there. During the visit, Goodyear, the title sponsor for the Cotton Bowl, pledged $10,000 to the hospital. Franklin also gave a brief speech during the visit and pledged a donation of his own to the facility.
Penn State Football shared a brief video of all the highlights from the visit:

The Nittany Lions are still hoping for a win come Saturday, but this may be their best play of the week!
