The best tradition in college football lives in Iowa City. At the end of the first quarter of every game at Kinnick Stadium in the fall, players, coaches and fans turn their attention to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital and wave to the patients.
During this bowl season, that tradition traveled all the way to San Diego for the Holiday Bowl.
On Friday night, at the end of the first quarter between Iowa and USC in the Holiday Bowl, everyone turned to the video board and took part in the Iowa Wave. On the video board were children waving back at players from Iowa and USC, alike.
Below is the video, as shared by FOX:

It’s really awesome that the folks at the Holiday Bowl agreed to bring the Iowa Wave to San Diego, and that players, coaches and fans from both sides participated.
