Clemson got a bit of a boost in the second half, with Tee Higgins returning to the field with the Tiger offense. He’s the top receiver for Clemson.

During ESPN’s broadcast of the Fiesta Bowl between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Clemson, it was announced that Higgins had been ruled out for the remainder of the game. He was taken to the locker room after taking a nasty hit that knocked his helmet off at the end of the Tigers’ first possession.

Upon further diagnosis, it was determined that Higgins was able to return and started for Clemson in the second half.

Higgins has been the top wide receiver for Clemson this season, hauling in 52 for receptions for 1,082 yards and 13 touchdowns. It’s the second-straight season he’s totaled over 900 receiving yards.

 

Higgins left the game with one catch for 21 yards in the first quarter.

Both Ohio State and Clemson entered the Fiesta with 13-0 records.
