Purdue has reportedly found its next defensive coordinator for Jeff Brohm’s staff.
According to Pete Thamel with Yahoo! Sports, the Boilermakers are hiring Bob Diaco away from Louisiana Tech to fill the void at DC. Diaco spent one season at LT, helping to guide the Bulldogs to a 10-win season. The team capped the year with a shutout of Miami in the Independence Bowl.
Sources: Purdue is hiring La Tech DC Bob Diaco. He led a high-end unit this season in Ruston, which included No. 2 red zone defense nationally and No. 31 scoring defense.

Diaco is well-traveled after spending 2018 at Oklahoma and 2017 at Nebraska. He also has experience as a head coach, compiling an 11-26 record over three seasons at UConn.
Diaco is taking over for a Boilermaker defense that allowed an average of 30 points a game each of the past two seasons. Hopefully, he is able to make a strong impact.
