Louisville LB ejected from Music City Bowl for kicking Mississippi State player

A Louisville defender has been booted from the Music City Bowl after kicking a Mississippi State player during the contest.

Monday, Louisville and Mississippi State met in Nashville for the Music City Bowl and a chance to end the season on the right note. But linebacker Dorian Etheridge had his day end a little early, after striking a Bulldogs offensive player with his foot.

The ejection came just over three minutes into the second quarter. Mississippi State was leading 7-0.

Etheridge was the fourth-leading tackler for the Cardinals this season, racking up 67 stops for the season. He also registered 7.5 tackles for loss, broke up five passes and intercepted a pass.

Louisville finished the regular season 7-5.
