Wisconsin is looking to keep a bowl winning streak going while also trying to put an end to an unfortunate losing streak on New Year’s Day.
The Badgers are in Pasadena for a Rose Bowl faceoff with Oregon. While both teams missed out on the College Football Playoff, there’s no denying the significance of the Granddaddy of Them All.
This year’s Rose Bowl matchup between the two teams is an interesting one with both teams possessing similar profiles. Long known for a wide-open offensive attack, the Ducks finished 2019 ranked seventh in the country in opponents points per game (15.7). Mario Christobal’s squad finished 16th in the nation in scoring while averaging right at 36 points per game.

For Paul Chryst’s Badgers, they finished the year ninth in the nation in opponents points per game at just over 16. They also averaged over 34 points per game.
Wisconsin had a remarkable decade and ended the second half on an impressive postseason run. The Badgers are on a five-game bowl winning streak, including a 4-0 mark under Chryst with two New Year’s Six victories. Unfortunately, the team has lost three straight Rose Bowl appearances. This will be the first Rose Bowl under Chryst.
Ahead of the New Year’s Day matchup, Odds Shark released a computer prediction for the game. Though Wisconsin enters as a three-point favorite, the prediction sees a razor-thin finish in favor of the Ducks:
Hopefully, the action lives up to that billing but with the Badgers pulling out a victory.
