Wisconsin’s all-time touchdowns leader is in some legal trouble.

According to a report from madison.com, former Badger running back Montee Ball was arrested by Madison police early Friday after he allegedly pushed his girlfriend into a table at a downtown Madison hotel.

He was charged with substantial battery and taken to Dane County Jail.

The woman reportedly sustained a cut to her leg, which required stitches. Ball did not resist arrest and was “very cooperative” according to police.

After he finished the 2014 season on injured reserve with a groin injury, Ball was waived by the Denver Broncos at the beginning of the 2015 season and was picked up by the New England Patriots in mid-December. He spent the rest of the season on their practice squad.

Ball still holds the FBS record for most points scored by a non-kicker and he finished his career as the NCAA’s all-time touchdowns leader.
