Kirk Cousins comes up clutch with game-winning drive in OT for Minnesota

Kirk Cousins just had one of the clutch performances of the NFL season for the Minnesota Vikings.
The former Michigan State star led the Vikings to the NFL Playoffs as a wildcard team. Minnesota finished with a 10-6 record, but many still questioned the big-game ability of Cousins. That only persisted as the Vikings headed to New Orleans to face Drew Brees and the 13-win Saints.
Hopefully, that talk will subside at least for a while following Cousins’ road performance on Sunday. He threw for 242 yards and a touchdown with his work in overtime providing the difference.
It started with a long completion to wide receiver Adam Thielen. One of Cousins’ favorite targets, Thielen was able to create just enough space and produced a highlight-reel catch on the throw:

That play set the Vikings up inside the five-yard line. After being forced into a third-down play, Cousins once again came up with a clutch throw. He hit Kyle Rudolph in the corner of the end zone for the game-winner to take down the Saints:

What a sequence of plays, and what a game for Cousins!
