Tuesday night’s game between No. 20 Penn State and Rutgers will be played in front of a huge crowd at The RAC.
Monday, Rutgers Athletics announced that Tuesday’s game has been sold out, marking the second sellout of the season for the Scarlet Knights. They are currently 10-0 when playing at home this season. Capacity at The RAC is listed at 8,000.
Rutgers enters the game with a 11-3 record overall and a 2-1 mark in B1G play. Penn State is 12-2 and also 2-1 in the conference, and is fresh off a win over Iowa in Philadelphia. PSU is also on a five-game winning streak entering the contest.
Tuesday night’s matchup will be the 75th meeting between the two teams, with the Nittany Lions owning a 41-33 advantage all-time.
A win for Rutgers on Tuesday night will improve the team to 12-3 on the season and would be the best 15-game start since the 1970s. It would also mark the second time this year that the Scarlet Knights have defeated a ranked opponent, knocking off No. 22 Seton Hall 68-48 in mid-December.
