High Hopes: Someone petitions State Medical Board of Ohio to make ‘Bengals/Browns Fans’ qualifying condition for medical marijuana use

Go ahead and file this one under “things you don’t hear every day.” One individual is hoping to turn his fandom into a condition that allows the use of medical marijuana in the state of Ohio.
According to Danny Eldredge, an Ohio Statehouse reporter for Hannah News, one individual recently “submitted a petition to add “Bengals/Browns Fans” as a qualifying condition under the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program.” It’s too crazy to make up.
Though the Bengals and Browns can be behind plenty of pain and sorrow, that’s not going to be enough to warrant a qualifying condition.
According to the State Medical Board of Ohio, someone submitted a petition to add "Bengals/Browns Fans" as a qualifying condition under the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program.

Both the Bengals and the Browns finished below the .500 mark in the NFL this season. Cleveland had at least some success, finishing with a 6-10 mark for the 2019 season. Cincinnati went just 2-14.
As much torment as both NFL franchises have brought fans for decades, the petition isn’t going to make it through the system. But hey, you can’t blame this individual for trying, right?
Someone had some high hopes in Ohio. But much like the Bengals and Browns every year, it’s going to come up short.
