Ex-Michigan head coach Brady Hoke officially lands head coaching position at San Diego State

Earlier reports from Wednesday proved to be accurate concerning ex-head coach Brady Hoke.
Hoke, who led Michigan from 2011-14, got his head coaching start with stints at Ball State and San Diego State. He led the Cardinals of the MAC for six years, compiling a 34-38 overall record and winning 12 games in his final season. After that, Hoke led San Diego State from 2009-10 before landing in Ann Arbor.
Unfortunately, that stint with the Wolverines did not go well. The high-water mark for Hoke proved to be an 11-win season his first year at Michigan with results falling each season from 2011-14.
After leaving Michigan, Hoke bounced around at multiple stops before returning to San Diego State in 2019 to coach the defensive line. Now, he’s back among the head coaching ranks to lead the Aztecs once again:

In 2009, Hoke took over a SDSU program that had won a total of nine games from 2006-08. This time, things will be a bit different. Hoke is succeeding Rocky Long who led the Aztecs to a bowl appearance every year from 2011-19 without a losing season after Hoke’s initial departure. Hopefully, he can hit the ground running and keep the results coming.
