It appears as if the future home-and-home series between Texas and Ohio State is undergoing a bit of a change. Though there has been no official announcement, it looks like there will be a slight alteration to the two matchups.
The two games are scheduled for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The first game (2025) was scheduled to be played in Austin, Texas, with the second contest being held in Columbus, Ohio (2026). However, according to FBSchedules.com and Texas’ Athletics website, the dates have swapped.
Now, the 2025 game will be played in Columbus and the 2026 contest will be held in Austin. So far, Ohio State has not updated its website with the alterations.
Ohio State and Texas have met just three times in the past, with the Longhorns owning a 2-1 series lead. The last time the two teams met was in the 2009 Fiesta Bowl, a game Texas won 24-21. The two teams scheduled a home-and-home series in 2005 and 2006, with the series splitting 1-1.
