Another year has been added to Paul Chryst’s contract, following another 10-win season at Wisconsin.
On Friday, Wisconsin approved another one-year extension for the head football coach, and his contract will now run through Jan. 31, 2025. It’s become an annual tradition for Chryst to receive the one-year extension to his five-year deal.
Per the Wisconsin State Journal, Chryst and his staff also qualified for a pool of 15% of their salary base for producing a 10-win season in 2019. They’re also eligible for an addition 4% bonus for winning the B1G West and appearing in the championship game.
Wisconsin finished the 2019 campaign with a 10-4 record, falling to Ohio State in the B1G Championship Game. The Badgers also played in the Rose Bowl, where they lost to Oregon.
Chryst is now 52-16 after five seasons in Madison. His teams have won 10 games or more four times and have appeared in three B1G Championship Games. The Badgers are also 4-1 in bowl games under Chryst.
