Hours ahead of Purdue-Indiana game, IU students lining up in bunches outside Assembly Hall

This is a big one. In the state of Indiana, the battle between the Hoosiers and Boilermakers always draws plenty of attention.
That’s especially true this Saturday, as both Indiana and Purdue are hoping to add a quality win to their NCAA Tournament resume. It makes for an intriguing and important rivalry bout at Assembly Hall. Added to the excitement is the expectation that former head coach Bob Knight will be stepping inside the arena for the first time since he was fired in 2000.
Indiana students can hardly contain their excitement. So, rather than wait around for the game to start in their dorm rooms or apartments, the Hoosiers faithful formed a huge line outside Assembly Hall, waiting for doors to open for the big game.

It should be an incredible environment in Bloomington.
Indiana owns a 15-7 record on the season with a 5-6 mark in the B1G. However, the Hoosiers have dropped three straight games, falling to Maryland, Penn State and Ohio State. They haven’t played since last Saturday.
Purdue enters the contest 13-10 but have won two straight over Northwestern and Iowa. The Boilermakers are just 2-6 away from Mackey Arena, and own a 6-6 mark in conference play.
Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. ET.
