Michigan’s Josh Uche will not be participating in on-field drills during the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine, according to a report.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday that Uche does not plan to participate in the drills during the combine in the coming days. He will, however, take part in the interviews and medical examination. An injury sustained during the Reese’s Senior Bowl will keep Uche off the field.

Earlier on Monday, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported that Ohio State defensive end Chase Young does not plan to participate in on-field drills, but will also be available in Indianapolis for interviews and the physical.

Uche saw his stock improve after strong outings during Senior Bowl practices. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to improve his stock further with on-field performance this week at the combine.

Last season, Uche finished the year with 35 tackles, 11.5 stops for loss and 8.5 sacks. He also broke up two passes and forced two fumbles for the Wolverines. During Senior Bowl week, the linebacker showed off his ability to not only get into the backfield and stop the run, but that he can be effective in pass coverage, too.
