At least one player still wants a chance to work out at Michigan State’s Pro Day.

On Thursday, a number of B1G schools announced that they are canceling or postponing Pro Day over concerns about the spread of the Coronavirus. Michigan canceled the Pro Day scheduled for Friday while Penn State suspended its football-related activities indefinitely. Lovie Smith also announced that Illinois is canceling on-campus recruiting visits for the time being.

However, Michigan State tight end Matt Seybert is still hopeful for a chance to participate in a Pro Day for the Spartans. He went to Twitter with a plea not to cancel it, saying that some players need the opportunity.

Traditionally, Pro Days are used for draft-eligible players looking to boost their stock that may have been unable to participate in the NFL Combine. NFL teams likely have a good idea on most of these players already, but it is true that some players have likely boosted their stock with strong Pro Day showings.

For Seybert, he recorded 26 catches for 284 yards and three touchdowns. Hopefully, Seybert gets his NFL shot, with or without a Pro Day workout.
