As a true freshman, Rondale Moore had one of the best highlights of the 2018 season, not just in the B1G, but in all of college football. In the fourth quarter of Purdue’s win over Ohio State, the wide receiver shed a Buckeye defender and outraced the rest of the OSU defense for one of the most improbable touchdowns of the season.

It’s now one of the most incredible plays in the history of Purdue football, and it helped lead the Boilermakers to an upset victory over the No. 2 team in the country, spoiling Ohio State’s College Football Playoff hopes.

So, what was that moment like for Moore and for his teammates? In a video shared by Purdue on Twitter, Moore and a few other Boilermakers provided their thoughts on the moment and how the freshman was able to get into the end zone.

Most of them were stunned:

That touchdown was part of a 28-point fourth quarter that helped lead the Boilers to a 49-20 victory over the Bucks. Moore finished the game with 170 receiving yards and two touchdown catches, 24 rushing yards and 58 yards on kickoff and punt returns.

Moore finished the season as the B1G’s leading wide receiver and was a consensus All-American.
