Another Michigan basketball player has decided to take the leap into the NCAA transfer portal to explore his options.

On Wednesday, Jacke Weingarten of Stockrisers.com reported that sophomore center Colin Castleton has entered his name in the NCAA transfer database. He’s the second Wolverine to make that decision, joining guard David DeJulius.

Castleton is a former four-star prospect and provided depth in the post for the Wolverines with a 6-foot-11, 235-pound frame.

Castleton spent two seasons at Michigan, initially committing to former head coach John Beilein. This was the first season under new head coach Juwan Howard. While Castleton could still return to Michigan, it’s not often the case that players decide to withdraw their name and return to their previous institution.

Last season, Castleton appeared in 25 games, averaging just under eight minutes per contest. He finished the year averaging 3.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game.
