Nebraska announces it will stream simulated Red-White Game on Saturday

Saturday, April 18 was supposed to mark the date for Nebraska’a annual Red-White Spring Football Game. Those plans had to be scrapped, however, as the COVID-19 pandemic has shut down schools, sports and large gatherings for the past month.
Nebraska has a new plan, though.
On Monday, Nebraska announced that it will stream a simulated version of the annual Red-White Game using a video game. The game will be comprised of legends in Nebraska football history.
“The game will incorporate audio from Learfield IMG College/Husker Sports radio network and will be played to unite Husker Nation and honor the brave men and women of Nebraska and across this great country who are on the frontline fighting the COVID-19 pandemic,” Nebraska said in a statement.
The steam of the simulation can be found on Nebraska’s Facebook page, Twitter page and Twitch channel.
