A celebrity golf match featuring two of the premier names on the PGA Tour and two legendary quarterbacks is officially happening.
Turner Sports announced that a charity golf match featuring Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning facing off against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady has been set for May. A specific date and location were not confirmed, but the event will not feature any spectators.
The event will be called “The Match: Champions for Charity,” and will benefit those who have been most affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The event is scheduled to air live on TNT and will be played at an undisclosed location, though ESPN is reporting that it’s expected to take place somewhere in Florida.
With no live sports taking place over the last month, this event would provide sports fans to watch a fun event in a healthy and safe way. It’s also an awesome way to raise funds for charity in the middle of an historic time in the country.
