Ohio State received its first commitment of the 2022 recruiting class from four-star cornerback Jyaire Brown on Wednesday, and a day later the Buckeyes received a second verbal pledge. This time, it came from a local four-star offensive lineman.
Thursday, four-star offensive tackle and top 100 prospect Tegra Tshabola announced his commitment to Ohio State via Twitter. The 6-foot-6, 320-pound lineman gives the Buckeyes two commitments in as many days.
“My family and I have done a lot of thinking and we decided to end my recruiting process and I have decided to commit to The Ohio State University,” Tshabola wrote on Twitter.

Tshabola is a native of West Chester, Ohio and is one of the top offensive lineman prospects in the country for the 2022 class. He’s ranked as the No. 6 offensive tackle and the second-best player out of the state of Ohio in his cycle. Overall, he ranks No. 69, according to 247Sports.
Along with Ohio State, Tshabola held 12 other offers. He picked the Buckeyes over Florida, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas A&M and USC, among others.
Ohio State already owns the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation in the 2021 cycle. It appears Ryan Day and company want to get a head start on working on the top class of 2022, as well.
