Ohio State, Michigan lead B1G in total draft picks in 2020, Minnesota sets own modern-era record

When the 2020 NFL Draft came to a close, forty-eight former B1G stars heard their names called. Four dozen players from the conference will now be pursuing a career at the professional level.
Ohio State dominated the early rounds this year, having three players selected in the first round, with Chase Young and Jeff Okudah going No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. Damon Arnette was selected at No. 19. By the end of the third round, seven Buckeyes had been picked in the 2020 draft.
Michigan picked up steam in the later rounds and had seven players taken in round No. 5 and No. 6. That brought the Wolverines’ total to 10 picks by the end of the event, tying Ohio State for most this year.
Minnesota made a little bit of its own history this year, having five players selected. It’s the most the Golden Gophers have had picked in a single draft since 1988, and the highest total since the draft switched to seven rounds.
Only three teams did not produce a draft pick this year: Northwestern, Illinois and Rutgers.
