Iowa has landed another four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class.

Four-star offensive guard David Davidkov gave his verbal pledge to the Hawkeyes on Monday, becoming the 12th member of Iowa’s 2021 class. At No. 134 in the overall player rankings for the cycle, Davidkov is the highest-rated recruit currently committed to Iowa.

“I would like to thank every college coach who has reached out to me and given me the opportunity to play at their school,” Davidkov said. “Ultimately, I want to thank my family and friends for showing unconditional love at all times. Thank you all for everything. With that being said, I will be committing to the University of Iowa.”

Davidkov is a 6-foot-6, 295-pound offensive lineman out of Winnetka, Illinois. He’s listed as the No. 18 offensive guard in the 2021 class and the second-best player out of Illinois, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

According to his profile on 247Sports, Davidkov brings good size, strength and athleticism to the offensive line. He has an excellent abilit to finish blocks and get to the next level on the field. He should be an extremely good fit in Iowa City.

With Davidkov’s commitment, Iowa now has the sixth-ranked recruiting class nationally and is third in the B1G.
