Report: Former Michigan star Taco Charlton lands with new NFL team

Not long after he was cut by the Miami Dolphins this week, former Michigan star Taco Charlton has landed with a new NFL franchise, according to a report.
Terez Paylor of Yahoo Sports is reporting that Charlton has agreed to a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. The defensive lineman cleared waivers earlier in the day. He will be entering his fourth year in the NFL in 2020.

Charlton was initially selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 28th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. His time in the Lone Star State was brief, however, spending just two years with the franchise before being let go. He was then picked up off of waivers by the Dolphins early into the 2019 season.
Earlier this week, the Dolphins announced they were releasing Charlton after less than one full year with the organization. Now, he’ll move on to the Chiefs to see if he can carve out a spot on the roster.
In his first three years in the league, Charlton has appeared in 37 games, totaling 67 tackles, nine sacks and forcing three fumbles.
