The Northwestern basketball team will be one of four headlining the 2021 Legends Classic, held at the Barclays Center.

CBS Sports reporter Jon Rothstein tweeted out that Northwestern will participate with the event, along with UCLA, Virginia and Oklahoma State. The event is typically held in late November.

Last season, Northwestern participated in the Fort Myers Tip-Off event early in the year. This will be the program’s first time playing in the Legends Classic.

The Wildcats struggled on the floor last season, finishing with an 8-23 record, which included a 12-game losing streak late in the year. Northwestern ended with a 3-17 mark in B1G play. It was the worst season the Wildcats have endured under head coach Chris Collins.

Next season’s Legends Classic will feature UConn, USC, Vanderbilt and Notre Dame.
