Mel Tucker continues to recruit the state of Michigan hard.
Michigan State received a verbal commitment from two-star offensive lineman Logan Murray on Sunday. The 6-foot-3, 305-pound offensive guard is a native of Flint, Michigan and becomes the fifth in-state prospect to join the Spartans’ 2021 class. He made his announcement via Twitter.
“I would like to thank all the universities that have given me a chance to play football at the next level, but I have found a place to call home,” Murray said on social media. “I’m truly blessed I was given this opportunity by Coach [Chris Kapilovic] and Coach Tucker. WIth that being said, I will be attending my DREAM SCHOOL…Michigan State University.”

Murray is the 13th player in the 2021 class to commit to Michigan State. All of those pledges have come since the month of April started, meaning the spring has been busy for Tucker and his staff.
Murray decided to commit to Michigan State over offers from FBS programs Liberty, South Alabama, Syracuse and Southern Miss. He also had a handful of FCS offers on the table.
The Spartans currently own the 24th ranked recruiting class of the 2021 cycle and sit ninth in the B1G.
