Texas has officially welcomed a former Michigan wide receiver to its program.

Monday, Texas announced that former Wolverines wide receiver Tarik Black has joined the team. He spent three seasons at Michigan before opting to hit the transfer portal and finish his collegiate career elsewhere. He is a graduate transfer, so Black will be immediately eligible for the Longhorns and has at least one year of eligibility remaining.

Black could apply for a medical hardship waiver to receive an additional year at Texas.

During his career in Ann Arbor, Black appeared in 21 games for the Wolverines over three seasons. He totaled 40 receptions for 507 yards and two touchdowns. His most productive season came last fall, playing in 11 games and totaling 25 catches for 323 yards and a touchdown.

Black’s career at Michigan was derailed due to foot injuries early on. He played in just six total contests each of his first two years in Ann Arbor.
