Two months ago, Lou Holtz was one of the headliner names at Michigan’s Signing of the Stars event. On Saturday, the legendary Notre Dame coach got to experience the other side of the rivalry.

He learned an all-too-real lesson in the process.

Holtz showed up to Ohio State’s Student Appreciate Day to address the Buckeyes and pass along some words of wisdom.

The only problem was that Holtz was wearing the wrong color. By now, you’ve probably heard about Urban Meyer throwing a student out of one of his classes for wearing blue. True to his word, Meyer enforced that rule again.

They hooked Holtz up with some gear to abide by Meyer’s rule.

Once he was properly attired, he got to speak to the OSU players and students:

Holtz shouldn’t feel so bad. At least he didn’t get a public shaming like these other OSU students got from Meyer for wearing blue:

Now that Holtz made his trip to Ann Arbor and Columbus, the only question left is what color he’ll be wearing come November.

Maybe he’d be better off going neutral.
