Four-star cornerback and former member of Nebraska’s 2020 recruiting class Henry Gray has decided to put his name in the NCAA transfer portal. Sean Callahan of Rivals.com reported the news on Friday afternoon.

Gray arrived in Lincoln in January as an early-enrollee with the Huskers. The Miami native brought plenty of hype with him to Nebraska, as he was considered one of the top 300 players in the 2020 recruiting class.

According to 247Sports, Gray was the No. 265 overall prospect and one of the top 50 players out of Florida. He was one of four players out of his home state to commit to Nebraska, but it appears his time in Lincoln will be short.

Nebraska’s 2020 class ranked 20th nationally and fourth in the B1G. Gray was the fifth-highest recruit in the Huskers’ 23-man class.

Gray is now the fourth scholarship player to decide to hit the transfer portal or medically retire from football. Quarterback Noah Vedral, wide receiver Jaevon McQuitty and kicker Barret Pickering have all left the program.
