Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer will be helping the state of Ohio honor its graduating high school seniors next weekend.
According to Eleven Warriors, Meyer will be the keynote speaker for “Shoutout to the Class of 2020,” a coordinated from Ohio television networks to honor graduating high school seniors in the state. It is scheduled for Saturday, June 6 at 7 p.m. ET.
Television networks planning to air the event include: WBNS (Columbus), WKYC (Cleveland), WLWT (Cincinnati), WFMJ (Youngstown), WTOL (Toledo), WHIZ (Zanesville) and WLIO (Lima).
Meyer was the head coach at Ohio State from 2012-18, leading the Buckeyes to three B1G titles and a national championship during his seven seasons in Columbus. He was also a perfect 7-0 against rival Michigan.
Several other celebrities are also expected to speak during the event. Former Ohio State and PGA golf legend Jack Nicklaus and Buckeye football great and two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin will also offer some words of wisdom.
