Maryland has announced a return date to campus for its student-athletes.

Brett McMurphy of Stadium reported on Friday that Maryland will be allowing student-athletes to return to campus on June 8. A week later, on June 15, student-athletes will be permitted to participate in voluntary athletic activities.

The NCAA officially lifted its moratorium on organized team activities on June 1. Maryland is one of several B1G programs that have announced plans to allow student-athletes back on campus and start training for the upcoming season.

Several other B1G programs have announced similar plans. Some are already allowing student-athletes to return to campus while others have the same timeline as Maryland. All schools have protocols in place for players who may test positive for COVID-19.

Maryland’s football team is entering its second season under head coach Mike Locksley. The Terrapins were 3-9 a year ago.
