A former Wisconsin and Alabama linebacker has landed at South Alabama. AL.com reported the news.

Christian Bell, who decided to hit the NCAA transfer portal following the 2019 season, will be completing his college career at South Alabama. He had previously been committed to Illinois during this offseason but decided against playing for the Fighting Illini.

Bell will be a graduate transfer and will be immediately eligible for the Jaguars. He has one season left at the college level.

Bell spent the 2015 season at Alabama and used a grayshirt. He then joined the program in 2016 but decided to transfer in July before the season started. He then transferred to Wisconsin, where he spent the next three seasons.

During his time in Madison, Bell appeared in 24 games and totaled eight tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble and one pass breakup.
