The University of Minnesota Athletic Department has reported multiple positive tests following COVID-19 screenings. The school released the information on Tuesday.

According to Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press, seven student-athletes tested positive for COVID-19 as screenings were conducted this month. The school said that 170 total tests were conducted.

The individuals who tested positive will now isolate. The school also did contact tracing, which means those who were in contact with individuals who provided positive tests will also be quarantined.

Several schools have reported positive COVID-19 tests as student-athletes have returned to campus.

The NCAA lifted its moratorium on organized team activities on June 1. Student-athletes have been able to participate in voluntary team workouts for the past month.
