Penn State University Athletic Director Sandy Barbour had some good news to share on Wednesday, when she met with reporters via Zoom.

Barbour met with the media to speak on several topics about the upcoming academic year, and how athletics would look in 2020-21. One question the AD was asked was regarding COVID-19 testing on campus. Barbour stated that the school does plan to release test results as they become available.

So far, Penn State has conducted 102 COVID-19 screenings and there have been no positive test results at this time. It is one of the few schools in the country that has not reported any positive test results. Indiana and Maryland have also not yet reported any positive cases.

During the meeting, Barbour confirmed that every student-athlete, staff member and coach will be tested upon return to campus.

There have been no final decisions made about the upcoming college football season. So far, the plan is to continue as scheduled, but there are several alternate options on the table.
