It’s mid-July.

We’re all hopeful about a college football season being played this fall. But looking past the football season and into March of 2021, that’s when an NCAA Tournament could be taking place.

We missed out on the NCAA Tournament in 2020. It was essentially the beginning of the disaster that has occurred for sports fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But, what about in 2021? Surely we’ll have a national tournament by then, no?

We can only hope so.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, a well-known bracketologist, actually put together a hypothetical bracket on Wednesday for that 2021 tournament.

The entire bracket can be found here.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Nine B1G teams make the tournament, which ties the ACC for getting the most teams in
  • Michigan State and Wisconsin both earn No. 2 seeds (none from the B1G get a No. 1)
  • Iowa gets a No. 3 seed
  • The B1G would be close to getting 12 schools in (Minnesota is listed as First Four Out while Penn State and Maryland are in the Next Four Out group)
